What Veyquo collects, why it needs it, who helps process it, how long it is kept, and how you can see, export or delete it.
Effective date:
Who we are
Veyquo is an AI career agent: it finds job openings, compares them with your whole profile, prepares applications with you and keeps track of what happens next. Veyquo is built by Hence Labs, a company registered in Delaware, United States. For anything about your data, write to [email protected].
What we collect, and why
Your account
Your email address and your name. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and an account identifier; Veyquo does not use your profile photo. If you sign in by email, we send you a link and a six-digit code; we keep your email address and a one-way hash of the link and code, never the code itself, until the request expires 15 minutes later.
Your sessions
For each signed-in session: when it started, when it was last renewed, when it expires and, if it ended early, why. Session tokens are kept only as one-way hashes. We do not store your IP address or browser details with a session. Your IP address is used, in hashed form and for up to 15 minutes, to limit repeated sign-in attempts.
Your whole profile
What you add or confirm about your work: a summary, experience, projects, skills, education and certifications, each marked with where it came from (entered by you, imported, or suggested by Veyquo and confirmed by you). Your contact details for applications: name, email address, phone number and approximate location.
Your job profiles
Your whole profile is your first job profile, and you can add more, each one a direction of work. A job profile holds a name, a headline and a summary you write; which of your facts it presents and how; its own contact details if you set them; what you are looking for (job titles, locations, work model, employment type, seniority, salary, keywords and other search filters); your notice period, availability and work authorisation if you set them for it; a writing style made from measurements of samples you paste, never their text; the browser it applies with, including sign-ins you save for employer sites and proxy details, which are encrypted; the resumes you upload to it and whether applications attach one unchanged or use a tailored resume; and its Job Agent, if you turn one on. Work authorisation is encrypted separately in our application, like the sensitive answers below. Deleting a job profile deletes all of this with it, including its uploaded resumes; applications already prepared keep the copy they used.
Documents
Resumes you upload to a job profile, and documents Veyquo prepares for you: tailored resumes, an unchanged copy of a resume you chose to attach, cover letters, receipts of submitted applications, screenshots taken while an application form is filled in, and your data exports. They are stored in object storage in an area that belongs to your account.
Applications and answers
The jobs you apply to, the state of each application and your answers to employers' questions. Answers in sensitive categories (home address, visa or work authorisation declarations, disability, demographic questions, veteran status, legal declarations and background disclosures) are encrypted separately in our application before they reach the database. Veyquo never sends them to an AI model, and never fills them into a form unless they are your verified answers or you approve them.
Gmail, if you connect it
Connecting Gmail is optional. Veyquo asks for access to read Gmail and send messages you approve (the gmail.readonly and gmail.send permissions). It reads each message's sender, subject, date and the short preview Gmail provides, not the full message body. It keeps only messages that relate to your applications: the sender, the subject and preview (each cut to 300 characters), when it arrived, what kind of message it is (for example an interview invitation) and a short quote of up to 200 characters that shows why. The first sync looks back 30 days, at most 500 messages. Veyquo never changes or deletes your email. Veyquo sends only after you approve the exact text, one message at a time and at most 5 a day, never on its own. If Google lets you decline the send permission, you can continue using Gmail for reply tracking but sending stays unavailable until you allow it.
Google Calendar, if you connect it
Connecting Google Calendar is optional and has two levels. With availability, Veyquo reads only when you are free or busy, never the details of your events, and does not store it. If you also allow events, Veyquo can add, change or remove events it created itself, each one only after you approve it, without inviting anyone. It keeps the connected account's email address and identifier, the permissions you granted, and the events it created (title, location, time and the application it belongs to).
Submitting applications for you
If you ask Veyquo to submit an application, an automated browser fills in the employer's form with your whole profile and your approved answers. How much it may do alone is your choice: in Manual mode it never submits, in Copilot mode it asks you each time, and in Autopilot mode it submits only within the rules you set. New accounts start in Copilot mode with no rules that allow anything.
Fiction mode, if you turn it on
Fiction mode is off unless you turn it on for a job profile. When it is on, Veyquo builds an application-only candidate for that job profile: it keeps the confirmed facts you choose and your real name and contact details, and generates the rest (a headline, a summary, skills and experience) from public information about the kind of role. The generated material never enters your whole profile or your facts. It is used in that job profile's applications: the resume, cover letter and form answers Veyquo prepares, and sends to employers in your name, are not marked as generated. Your answers about work authorisation, legal and demographic questions, salary and sign-in details are never generated; they come only from your verified answers or your approval.
For Fiction mode Veyquo keeps: your Fiction settings for each job profile (what you chose to keep and your target match); each generated candidate and the facts it copied; the resume and cover letter generated for each application; the public sources it found (their address, title, a short excerpt and the dates it saw and, where known, published them); whether you allowed a writing review provider; and, for each review, a fingerprint of the reviewed document and its result, never the document's text. The documents generated for an application are kept until you delete that application; the rest is kept until you delete your account. Turning Fiction mode off stops it being used but does not delete what it made.
Records of what Veyquo did
Every action Veyquo takes on your behalf is recorded: what was done, to what, with which data source, and when. These records hold identifiers, not the content of your profile, documents or email.
How AI is used
Veyquo uses AI models to compare jobs with your profile, to draft tailored resumes, cover letters and answers, and to sort replies to your applications. Requests go through OpenRouter, which passes them to a model provider such as OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Qwen or DeepSeek. A request contains only what the task needs:
- matching: your skills, experience, seniority, preferred locations and working arrangements and minimum salary, with the job;
- drafting: the facts in your whole profile (summary, experience, projects, skills, education, certifications), with the job and its questions;
- sorting email: the sender's domain, the subject and the preview;
- Fiction mode, if you turn it on: the confirmed facts you chose to keep, your name, email address, phone number and approximate location, and a description of your writing style, with the job, to generate the candidate and its resume and cover letter. Searching for public information about a kind of role sends only the field, role, seniority and country of the job, never anything about you.
Your sensitive answers are never part of a request, and your contact details are not part of one except in Fiction mode, as above. Veyquo does not use your data to train AI models.
Two levels of handling apply, depending on the task:
- Reading your uploaded resume and matching jobs to your profile are sent only to providers that do not retain requests (zero-data-retention routing). If no such provider is available, the task does not run.
- Drafting resumes, cover letters and answers, and sorting email, are sent under standard handling. The provider does not train on the request, but may keep it for a limited time under its own terms. Drafting uses the facts in your whole profile and, if you add one, a short description of your writing style (never the writing samples themselves, which Veyquo does not keep). When a draft reads like machine writing, Veyquo may send the same facts and the draft back to the model once more to edit the wording, under the same handling. Fiction mode's generation and its searches for public information use this standard handling too.
In Fiction mode you can also allow a writing review of the generated documents. The review Veyquo offers today runs inside Veyquo and sends the documents nowhere. Veyquo would send a document to an outside review provider only after you allow that provider by name, and you can withdraw that permission at any time.
Google user data
Veyquo asks Google for these permissions, and for nothing else:
openid, emailandprofile: to sign you in and know your name, email address and Google account identifier. Always requested if you sign in with Google.gmail.readonly: only if you connect Gmail, to notice replies about your applications, as described above.gmail.send: when you connect Gmail, to send a referral message only after you approve its exact text, one at a time and at most 5 a day. Veyquo never sends on its own.calendar.freebusy: only if you connect Google Calendar, to see when you are free or busy, so Veyquo can suggest interview times.calendar.events.owned: only if you also allow events, to add, change or remove the events Veyquo created itself, each after you approve it.
Veyquo's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy (opens in a new tab), including the Limited Use requirements.
Information from Gmail and Google Calendar is used only to provide the features you turned on: following the replies to your applications, sending the referral messages you approve and scheduling your interviews. It is not used for advertising, not sold, and not used to train general-purpose AI models. It is shared with a processor only to provide those features (an email preview is sent to an AI model to sort it, as described above).
Who processes your data for us
- Google: sign-in with Google, and Gmail and Google Calendar if you connect them.
- Stripe: takes payment for paid plans and credit packs, by card or stablecoin, if you buy one. Your card or wallet details go to Stripe and not to Veyquo; Veyquo keeps your Stripe customer reference and a record of each payment.
- Resend: sends sign-in emails (your email address and the sign-in link and code).
- OpenRouter and the model providers it routes to: the AI requests described above.
- Railway: hosts the application, its database and its temporary storage.
- Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.): receives error reports from Veyquo's servers and your browser: the error, the page address without its query, your browser type, and identifiers. Never your profile, documents, messages, cookies or form contents.
- Our cloud storage provider: stores your documents.
We do not sell your data. Veyquo stores and processes your data in the United States. If you use Veyquo from another country, including the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, your data is transferred to the United States.
Cookies and local storage
Veyquo uses only cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in:
veyquo_session: your current sign-in, renewed about every 10 minutes;veyquo_refresh: lets the session renew without signing in again, for up to 30 days;veyquo_sign_in: links the steps of one sign-in, until that sign-in expires;veyquo_refreshed: prevents a renewal loop, for 15 seconds.
Error reporting sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
Your light or dark theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage. While Veyquo refreshes the research behind a Fiction application, your browser keeps the refresh's reference (veyquo:fiction-base-refresh:…) so it can pick up where it left off; it is removed when the refresh ends. There are no analytics or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
- Your account, profile, documents and applications: until you delete them or your account.
- Fiction mode's settings, generated candidates and the public sources it found: until you delete your account.
- Sign-in requests: they expire after 15 minutes and are then deleted. Expired requests are removed when later sign-ins are requested, not on a fixed schedule.
- Email records: until you delete the application they belong to or your account. Disconnecting Gmail deletes the access tokens and revokes Veyquo's access at Google straight away; the records already kept stay until then.
- Calendar events Veyquo created: until you delete your account; disconnecting Google Calendar deletes the access tokens.
- Interview suggestions not yet approved: 30 minutes.
- Ended sessions: 30 days.
- Backups: deleted data stays in backups for up to 35 days, then is overwritten.
Your choices and rights
- See and correct: your whole profile, job profiles and settings show what Veyquo holds, and you can edit them at any time.
- Export: download your data at any time from Settings, under Your data. The file covers every kind of data listed here. It leaves out secrets (sign-in tokens, credentials you connected and sealed answers to sensitive questions) and says what it leaves out and why.
- Delete: delete your account from Settings, under Your data, after signing in again. Veyquo first revokes its access to your Gmail and Google Calendar at Google, stops agent work in progress, then deletes your files, profile, applications, answers, the emails and calendar events it kept, your connections, sessions and the account itself. While this runs, the account cannot be signed in to. Records of what Veyquo did and AI usage records are kept without anything that links them to you (the action and its time), and a deletion receipt is kept that holds no personal data: a one-way hash of your account identifier, the time and how many items were deleted.
- Disconnect Gmail or Google Calendar at any time in Settings, or from your Google Account.
- Other rights: if the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies to you, you can also ask us to restrict processing, object to it, and receive your data in a portable format, and you can complain to your local data protection authority. If you live in California, you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to delete or correct it, and you will not be treated differently for doing so; we do not sell or share personal information for advertising. To use any of these rights, write to [email protected].
Security
Access tokens for Gmail and Google Calendar and your sensitive answers are encrypted in our application before they are stored. Every request for your data is checked against your account. Logs and error reports carry identifiers, not your content.
Children
Veyquo is for people looking for work and is not meant for anyone under 16.
